Homoseksual dalam Perspektif Tafsir Al Qur’an Al Adzim Karya Ibnu Katsir dan Al Azhar Karya Buya Hamka (Studi Komparatif atas Penafsiran Qs. Al A’raf Ayat 80-84)

Abstract

This study aims to determine homosexuality in QS. Al-A'raf verses 80–84 from the perspective of Tafsir Ibn Kathir and Al-Azhar. This study concludes, using the muqarin method in an analytical and descriptive manner, that: first, homosexual acts are bad and rotten actions that do not result in lust for women; and second, human dignity is far more despicable than animal dignity. Second, the act of homosexuality is an act that is heinous, stupid, and beyond the limits, which  at the time of the prophet Lut was an act that had never been known and had never even occurre d to or crossed the hearts and minds of mankind. From the time of the prophet Lut until now,  homosexuality has remained a disease that has spread throughout the world. The existence of homosexuality has been widely recognized in various countries; even homosexual actors dare to appear I n the media. In Indonesia, homosexuals are no longer shy about showing their existence on social m edia, even though they used to be very afraid because their existence was hated by society. But now socie ty is slowly giving support to homosexual offenders indirectly so that they are not afraid anymore and  are able to take refuge under human rights law. As Buya Hamka provides a solution for preventing  homosexual acts, namely, when faced with abundant wealth, always remember Allah because we alth can reduce spiritual values, then always maintain the way both men and women dress, and cover the disgrace of fellow human beings
