Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' ability to prepare research proposals through training in time management and effective resource utilization. The main problem faced by students at Nahdlatul Ulama University in Blitar is the lack of skills in systematically planning and compiling scientific papers. Therefore, this activity was designed as a technical guidance involving 35 student participants from various study programs, using a participatory and practice-based approach. The training was divided into three main sessions: academic time management, utilization of supporting technology for scientific writing (including AI applications such as ChatGPT), and hands-on practice in preparing research proposals. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and abilities, marked by an increase in the average post-test score and better quality proposal drafts. Participants also demonstrated high enthusiasm for the use of technology in the writing process. This activity successfully encouraged the formation of a productive academic culture based on literacy and technology on campus. The recommendation from this activity is the importance of integrating similar training into the thesis preparation program on a regular basis for sustainable benefits.
