Abstract
The community engagement activity (or: community service program) titled "Building Health Awareness Through Routine Sports Activities in the Community" aims to enhance public awareness regarding the significance of health through regular physical activity. The specific objectives to be achieved include increasing community participation in routine sports activities, introducing healthy lifestyle practices, and fostering a health-conscious community. The strategic phases commence with initial preparation, which involves forming a dedicated team comprising nursing students and faculty supervisors, and conducting a preliminary survey to understand the community's interests and needs concerning exercise. Following the preparation phase, the team develops a comprehensive activity plan that outlines workshop materials, such as the benefits of exercise, basic techniques for various sports, and methods for maintaining a healthy diet. The activity plan also includes a clear schedule for each session. The promotion of the activity is conducted via social media and leaflets, designed to attract broader community participation. During the workshop implementation, participants are provided with theoretical material on the importance of exercise and engage in practical sessions, where students guide physical activities such as aerobics, yoga, or team games. Post-activity, monitoring and evaluation are conducted to gather feedback from participants, which will be utilized to assess the program's effectiveness. The data obtained will be analyzed to determine the increase in community awareness and participation in sports. Finally, a comprehensive report detailing the activity is compiled, including evaluation results and recommendations for follow-up programs, ensuring that the service activity yields a sustained positive impact on the community. With this systematic and participatory approach, the activity is expected not only to improve physical health but also to build a collective awareness of healthy lifestyles within the community.
