Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with Garrard’s ecocritical framework, the study examines how nature is represented within a narrative of productivity. The findings reveal a discursive contradiction: on the one hand, the policy is positioned as support for farmers; on the other hand, it reinforces an anthropocentric development ideology that views nature merely as a commodity input. The study further shows that government narratives remain dominated by a technocentric logic, which has the potential to trigger long-term environmental degradation in pursuit of short-term economic stability.2026-03-02T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ojs.unublitar.ac.id/index.php/pej/article/view/2617Transformasi nilai sosial lirik lagu anak Indonesia (Studi komparatif lagu anak era 1990-an dan masa Kini)2026-04-24T02:10:18+00:00Erfan Fatkhurohmanerfanfatkhurohman0@gmail.comReni Maisatus Sagitarenisagita94@gmail.comAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pergeseran representasi nilai sosial dalam lirik lagu anak Indonesia melalui studi komparatif antara lagu era 1990-an (Paman Datang) dan era digital (Sayang Semuanya versi Nussa & Rara). Abstract: This study aims to analyze the shift in the representation of social values in Indonesian children's song lyrics through a comparative study between songs from the 1990s era (Paman Datang) and the digital era (Sayang Semuanya version by Nussa & Rara). Using a descriptive qualitative method with a content analysis approach, the findings reveal a significant transformation from agrarian-communal collectivism to domestic-nuclear collectivism based on religious values. There is also a shift in language style from poetic-descriptive narration to more direct and straightforward instruction. This indicates that contemporary children's songs tend to focus more on the internalization of individual character and spiritual values rather than physical interaction with the broader natural and social environment.2026-04-17T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ojs.unublitar.ac.id/index.php/pej/article/view/2620Refleksi diri dan aktualisasi: Analisis semiotika lirik “di akhir perang” karya Nadin Amizah (pendekatan psikologi humanistik Carl Rogers)2026-06-03T12:29:12+00:00Anjun Nurainianjunnuraini744@gmail.comAgus Yuliantoagusbe808@gmail.comAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi representasi refleksi diri dan proses aktualisasi diri dalam lirik lagu "Di Akhir Perang" karya Nadin Amizah melalui lensa semiotika dan psikologi humanistik Carl Rogers. Abstract: This study aims to explore the representation of self-reflection and the process of self-actualization in the song lyrics “Di Akhir Perang” by Nadin Amizah through the lenses of semiotics and Carl Rogers’ humanistic psychology. Employing a descriptive qualitative method and Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis (denotation, connotation, and myth), this research examines how the symbolism of “war” represents an individual’s internal incongruence. The findings indicate that the lyrics embody a journey from the organismic valuing process toward becoming a fully functioning person. The novelty of this study lies in its synthesis of linguistic sign structures with the dynamics of humanistic personality within contemporary Indonesian music.2026-05-11T15:15:38+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ojs.unublitar.ac.id/index.php/pej/article/view/2717Dinamika Persepsi Orang Tua dan Guru Terhadap Penggunaan Gawai dalam Pendidikan Disiplin Anak2026-05-26T04:12:04+00:00Diana Lutfiana Ulfadiana.lutfiana@gmail.comLituh Sinanaiswahyudiahmad00@gmail.comThis study aims to describe the similarities and differences between parents’ and teachers’ perceptions regarding the use of digital devices in children’s discipline education, as well as to analyze the role of Civic Education (PKn) as a framework for developing disciplined behavior in device use at home and at school. The research was conducted at SDN Mangunan 02, Blitar, using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate diverse perceptions of device use: some parents have provided their children with personal devices, while others restrict access by allowing the use of parents’ devices only. A similar dynamic appears among teachers: the use of devices at school remains limited due to the small number of Chromebooks available to be shared among classes, yet teachers still encourage digital engagement through online assignments. Furthermore, PKn values are shown to be an important framework in fostering discipline, responsibility, and self-control in children’s use of technology. This study highlights that synergy between parents’ and teachers’ perceptions and educational roles is essential to cultivating a healthy digital discipline culture among elementary school students.2026-05-25T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ojs.unublitar.ac.id/index.php/pej/article/view/2653Comparative Evaluation of UMMI and At-Tartili Methods in Elementary Quranic Literacy Using the CIPP Model2026-06-03T12:07:57+00:00Nurul Hidayahnurulhidayah@uinsatu.ac.idLuk-Luk Nur Mufidahnurmufidah@uinsatu.ac.idLuluk Luluk Indartilulukindarti@uinsatu.acidThe ability to read and write the Quran (BTQ) is an essential skill in elementary education, vital for cultivating a fluent and rhythmic generation of Quranic scholars. The UMMI and At-Tartili systems are two prevalent approaches, each emphasizing distinct aspects: reading fluency and accuracy. This study seeks to assess and contrast the efficacy of both methodologies utilizing the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. A mixed-methods approach was used to gather data through observations, interviews, and student reading assessments at two madrasahs in Kediri Regency. The research findings indicate that the UMMI approach significantly enhances students' reading fluency and motivation, whereas the At-Tartili method demonstrates superiority in tajwid accuracy and reading quality. Context and input assessment indicated resource preparedness for method implementation; however, process elements require enhancement, especially in terms of learning differentiation. This discovery advocates for the creation of a hybrid model that amalgamates the advantages of both methodologies to enhance the efficacy and equilibrium of BTQ learning. This study advances the creation of an evidence-based Quranic learning model pertinent to madrasah education.2026-05-25T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ojs.unublitar.ac.id/index.php/pej/article/view/2738Exploring AI-Assisted Language Learning for EFL Learners’ Speaking Development in Suburban Contexts2026-06-11T04:01:22+00:00Bagus Waluyowaluyobagus81@gmail.comThis study examines how artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools can support English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners in suburban universities who face limited opportunities for speaking practice and authentic communication. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research involved 15 students from Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Blitar and Universitas Merdeka Pasuruan. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using phenomenological reduction, detailed description, and identification of essential meanings. The findings indicate that AI-powered speaking tools enable students to practice independently, receive immediate and non-judgmental feedback, and improve confidence despite restricted human interaction. Participants reported greater flexibility and accessibility in developing speaking skills. However, the study also emphasizes that the effectiveness of AI tools depends on appropriate pedagogical integration, including teacher guidance, alignment with learning objectives, and opportunities for peer collaboration. The study concludes that AI can effectively enhance speaking competence when combined with meaningful human support and instructional facilitation.2026-06-10T09:27:39+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://ojs.unublitar.ac.id/index.php/pej/article/view/2736Fostering Creativity Through Play: Innovative Learning Development at Sunshine Daycare UNESA2026-06-11T14:51:29+00:00Eka Cahya Maulidiyahekamaulidiyah@unesa.ac.idRachma Hasibuanhasibuanrahma@unesa.ac.idSri Setyowatisrisetyo@unesa.ac.idMuhammad Rezamreza12@unesa.ac.idAfifah RahmaningrumA.Rahmaningrum@unesa.ac.idFatiha Khoirotunnisa ElfahmiFa.elfahmi@unesa.ac.idMelia Dwi Widayantimeliadwi@unesa.ac.idDhian Gowinda Luh SafitriGowindaluh@unesa.ac.idAs the number of full-time working parents continues to rise, so does the demand for high-quality daycare services. However, many daycare centers still lack structured learning programs that support the holistic development of young children. This study responds to that gap by developing a creative learning model grounded in play-based learning, specifically designed for caregivers at Sunshine Daycare, an early childhood center under the management of the Early Childhood Education Department (PG-PAUD), UNESA. Using the ADDIE model within a Research and Development (R&D) framework, data were collected through observations and interviews with caregivers and parents. The results reveal that implementing play-based creative learning empowers caregivers to plan engaging daily activities and signature programs that foster children's development across multiple domains: language, cognitive, motor, moral-religious, and socio-emotional. These findings underscore the urgency of integrating structured, child-centered approaches in daycare settings to ensure purposeful and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.2026-06-11T14:51:29+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
