About the Journal

Jurnal Terapan Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah (JTPDM) is a national peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scientific and conceptual articles in the field of primary and secondary education. The journal is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December and serves as a platform for researchers, academics, teachers, educational practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate innovative research findings and scholarly perspectives that contribute to the advancement of education.

JTPDM emphasizes research that enhances knowledge and practice in primary and secondary education. The journal particularly welcomes studies related to education, child development, student character education, inclusive education, learning strategies, instructional innovation, and educational assessment.

The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, and conceptual papers in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Education – Contemporary issues and developments in education at the national and international levels, presented through conceptual or empirical studies.
  2. Child Development – Research on children's growth and developmental stages, including student participation, learning engagement, and developmental outcomes in educational settings.
  3. Student Character Education – Studies focusing on character building, moral education, values education, and school-based programs that foster students' personal and social development.
  4. Inclusive Education – Research on inclusive schools, adaptive learning for students with disabilities, equitable educational practices, and instructional programs for diverse learner populations.
  5. Learning Strategies and Instructional Innovation – Innovative teaching methods, learning models, curriculum implementation, educational technology, and pedagogical approaches that improve learning outcomes in primary and secondary education.
  6. Educational Assessment – Research on assessment methods, evaluation techniques, classroom assessment, authentic assessment, and innovative approaches to measuring student learning and educational achievement.

JTPDM has been accredited by the National Journal Accreditation System (ARJUNA) under Decree No. 156/C/C3/KPT/2026, issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. The journal has been awarded SINTA 5 accreditation, valid for the period 2023–2028.

Important Notes for Authors

To ensure the quality, integrity, and ethical standards of submitted manuscripts, authors are required to comply with the following requirements:

  • Similarity Index: Manuscripts must have a similarity index of less than 25%. Submissions exceeding this threshold will be returned to the authors before entering the peer-review process.
  • Reference Quality: Authors are expected to cite relevant and up-to-date national and international references that are directly related to the topic of the manuscript.

Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for revision prior to the peer-review process.
