Author Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that have not been published previously and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions must be relevant to the scope of Patria Educational Journal (PEJ) and demonstrate originality, scientific rigor, and a meaningful contribution to the field of education.
Manuscripts should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia using clear, concise, and academically appropriate language.
Submitted manuscripts should generally contain the following sections: Title , Abstract , Keywords , Introduction , Method , Results and Discussion , Conclusion , Acknowledgments (if applicable), and References . Review articles may use a structure appropriate to their methodology.
The manuscript should be prepared using the official PEJ article template and submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format through the journal's online submission system. The recommended manuscript length is 5,000–8,000 words , including tables, figures, and references.
Authors should ensure that:
- The manuscript is original and free from plagiarism.
- The similarity index does not exceed the journal's permitted threshold.
- All figures, tables, and illustrations are of high quality and properly cited.
- References are relevant, up-to-date, and formatted according to the APA 7th Edition citation style.
- At least 80% of the references are primary sources published within the last 10 years .
- Reference management software such as Mendeley is used to ensure citation accuracy and consistency.
All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer-review process involving at least two independent reviewers. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' comments before a final editorial decision is made.
Possible editorial decisions include Accept , Minor Revision , Major Revision , Resubmit for Review , or Reject . The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to accept or reject manuscripts based on reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the manuscript, and its suitability for publication in PEJ.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted materials and for ensuring that all research involving human participants complies with applicable ethical standards. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that all listed authors have made substantial contributions to the work and have approved the final version of the manuscript.
Accepted manuscripts will be published as Open Access articles and made freely available online immediately after publication. An Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 700,000 is payable only after the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. The APC covers editorial processing, copyediting, layout editing, DOI registration, digital archiving, and online publication.
